We'll do the same thing we did last week and hold classes in the park this Saturday and Sunday @ 10 am.
Then, at some point next week, we hope that our next update will say "We'll Be Open Tomorrow!".
We want to thank all of you for your patience - nobody has been more frustrated or understands your frustration better than we do. As we've talked about in the past, the buildout schedule turned out to be outside of our control and it's been an adventure trying to schedule contractors with inspections and keep everything moving!
We are making progress and the railing and punch list are almost done.
So it's one more weekend in the park and we do hope that everyone has a chance to try it at least once - it's turned out to be an amazing experience and is something that we will find a way to include even after we open!
Bethany is teaching at 10 on both Saturday (Power 1) and Sunday (Power 2) morning. Both classes are about 90 minutes, there is no charge to practice and anybody is welcome to attend!
1. We only practice if the weather is clear! If it's going to rain, or the ground is wet, we won't meet.
2. The parking deck is hard to find - it is not clearly marked from the road. Use the park entrance on Monroe, drive in through the gate and the drive will take you there. From the deck, it's a short walk to the Bocce court, and we're right there! Bathrooms are on the way.
3. Bring your mat & gear, something to drink and sunscreen!
Then, next week, the countdown is on. Stay tuned!
Hello Red Hots,
We're making progress with the railing and an issue with some of the old AC vents that the inspection turned up.
I won't go into technical details, but the process to fix these things is to draw the changes into the plans, and submit the changes to the city. Once the changes are approved, then we do the actual work.
The changes have been submitted and as soon as we get the green-light, we'll get the work done! After that, they'll inspect again and then we can open! We don't expect this to take long, so please bear with us for just a bit more and we'll have a beautiful new studio for you!
Until then, we will be doing yoga in the park on both Saturday and Sunday! Folks have been having a blast with this and we are looking into everything needed to make it a regular feature. Bethany teaches the classes for free, of course, and here's everything you need to know to join us:
1. Saturday @ 10, B will reach Power 1 - Sunday @ 10, B will teach Power 2.
2. If it's raining or if the ground is soaked, we won't practice.
3. We gather in Piedmont Park at the Bocce Court. It's really easy to find and you can choose to use their parking deck (the entrance is off of Monroe). Bathrooms are nearby. The place where we practice is really beautiful!
4. Bring your mat and gear, something to drink and sunscreen!
No worries if you're running late - it's the park! Everyone is welcome to join in and you don't have to be an RHY member, so bring a friend if you like - there is no charge!
Speaking of no charges, we also want to let folks know that there is no charge for the studio for July. We had planned to be open much sooner and had announced that we would charge $25 for July for auto-bill accounts. We're obviously not doing that, so no worries. For folks that bought a month during the sale, your month starts whenever you want it to, so no worries there either! And for everyone, we never have let classes expire, so that's also not a problem.
We'll continue to update as we know more.! Hopefully we'll get to see a lot of you at the park!
We have to finish the railings on the deck and we have to replace some of the old venting pipes.
Inspections are the last thing that has to happen before we open and there is always a punch list to meet them. We're working on that punch list now.
I would have posted this update on Monday, but I flat out didn't have any confirmed dates! As of now, it looks like next week as soon as the inspections are done, but I still don't know an exact day for sure.
Please know that we're working 24/7 to get this studio open. We're beyond excited to show off the new space! And we're so sorry its taken as long as it has - there was no way to forsee these issues!
But we're very, very close and the folks that have stopped by for a look have been very, very happy.
Here's a shot of your new RHY and we will announce the official opening the absolute minute we are cleared to do so! We can't wait to practice with you!
We were scheduled to have all of our final inspections passed and the studio open full-tilt this weekend. Unfortunately, we need to build a fence around the loading dock area and tweak a few other last details to make it all official.
Needless to say, that will be happening ASAP. But we're on hold with the opening until it gets built and inspected.
We won't be open this weekend or Monday, but we will of course post an update on Monday.
I can tell you that the studio is awesome. The heat is awesome and the room feels incredible. We will be open soon. We are terribly sorry that this has taken longer than expected, but that's how things go sometimes.
We will be back on Monday with a full update and we will do Power In The Park again this Sunday, weather permitting!
It's been a bit more work than we thought, but the new Buckhead studio is almost ready! We anticipate opening for the 6 pm class on Wednesday the 13th!
We're posting a few pics below to document the journey and the finished studio will be absolutely beautiful!
Also, we are going to Power In The Park tomorrow morning (Sunday, 10th) at Piedmont (same spot near the Bocce Court) so please join us at 10 am!
We can't wait to see everyone next week!
Raining again, this time with a side of storms. No yoga in the park tonight, but we'll update soon on the next possible date!
